Leave a Legacy
Legacies are the foundation for many charities in the UK and are essential in making sure that all the good work they do can continue.
Over 70% of the UK population support charities and when asked, over 30% of people say they would happily leave a gift in their Will once they have made provisions for their friends and family. The problem is only 7% actually do.
If we were all to leave some money in our Wills to charities as well as family, we could make a huge difference. In fact, if we can raise this figure to just 11% we would create an additional £1 billion for charities in the UK every year. What a difference this would make.
Leaving a gift in your Will can be one of the most effective ways in which you can support us and those affected by brain tumours. All gifts - no matter what size are really appreciated and 'Taylan's Project' will not have to pay any Inheritance Tax on your donation as all it's money goes into the registered charity 'Brain Tumour Research'.
We are of course aware that family is a priority but please consider helping us to find a cure after you have looked after your family and friends. Your gift will make a difference and will help us to be one step closer to discovering the causes of brain tumours, treatments and to find a cure.
The breakthrough that we so desperately needed, was not there to help save Taylan. But if one day, a child, friend, or family member is cured, then something has been achieved. Your gift will be part of saving someone's life and stopping a family's suffering. Please help us to help others.
There are a few ways in which you can include 'Taylan's Project' in your Will.
-
Residuary Gift - a residual gift is a percentage or all of what is left of your estate. It is a really good way to support Brain Tumour Research because the value of your gift is not reduced by inflation.
-
Pecuniary Gift - you choose exactly how much you wish to leave Brain Tumour Research by naming a specified amount.
-
Specific Gift - a specific item in your Will like a piece of jewellery or shares.
If you are simply adding a donation to 'Taylan's Project' to an existing Will, you can use a Codicil.
Adding a Codicil means there is no need to change the terms of your current Will. It just simply adds a new instruction.
This is for information only purposes and to give you an idea of some of the options. Please seek advice from an independent Solicitor regarding your Will and the best way for you to include us in your Will.
The following needs to be added when you include your gift, making reference to 'Taylan's Project'.
Brain Tumour Research, The Business Centre, Padbury Hill Farm, Padbury, Buckingham Bucks MK18 2BN. Charity No. 1093411.
Thank you
