Taylan's Fun Day and balloon race winners!

Well done to Mr & Mrs Hamarat for winning the balloon race!  Their balloon travelled 75.6 miles to Shropshire and they have won a Sony Cybershot Digital Camera Bundle Pack!

Thank you also to everyone who helped and supported Taylan's Fun Day on Sunday!FD_2012_Inline_17.jpg

With your help, we managed to raise an incredible £3,300 for vital research into brain tumours.

FD_2012_Inline_14.jpgDespite the weather being a little chilly, we all had a wonderful day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.  From homemade cakes to curries, chilli to burgers, there was plenty for everyone to eat whilst the children enjoyed all the activities and rides.  All the children took part in many activities such as having a go on the zorbing balls, bungee trampolines, mega slide and pony rides to name but a few and even the adults were able to have a game of crazy golf!

Some of the highlights for the day was a spectacular performance by football freestyler Daniel Cutting, who also taught the children some of the latest and coolest tricks mesmerising even the adults.  Felipe Gonzales then went onto to create the most FD_2012_Inline_05.jpgwonderful and beautiful bubbles, allowing the children to also take part and let their imagination run free whilst enjoying making their own giant bubbles.FD_2012_Inline_11.jpg

The balloon release as ever was quite an emotional time yet beautiful.  1,000 green and blue balloons were released during the race and we will update you all on the lucky winner in 4 weeks time. Taylan’s 2 younger brothers chose Gold Forever by The Wanted for the release as it is a song that reminds them of their brother.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all our supporters and sponsors for their donations, time, products, services and generosity.  This event would simply not be possible without your continued help and support.  We would also like to thank all our volunteers who kindly helped on the day to set up, run stalls and clear up.
